Morph Team
A multi-media sci-fi superhero universe set on the planet Sullis — planned as feature films, a TV series, comics, webtoons, and games. Seven years in development, co-created with Kaylee Reyes and expanded with sister Stella Sharp. Six core characters, each with arcs built around what they need to learn. Dragons, alternate dimensions, a sentient Djinn, and a fun god.
The poster above is a concept mockup for the animated feature. Development materials include a partial storyboard deck and an ongoing narrative bible.
About
I grew up in a house full of stories. My father invented a new bedtime story every night — eleven pirate siblings, new adventures, recurring characters — and we'd steer the plot from under the covers. By the time I was old enough to hold a camera, I already understood that storytelling is a collaboration, and that the best narratives come from the overlap between what the writer intends and what the characters insist on doing.
I've been the director and cinematographer on every project I've led, but I've never worked alone. Most of my films are built with my sister Stella, who writes the scripts and helps develop the concepts. We shot Deja Vue in four days, edited for a month, and premiered it at our film class's end-of-year screening. It went on to win the Audience Choice Award at Liftoff Global and screen at the Ozark Media Arts Festival and London Lift-Off Film Festival.
Outside of film, I've played violin since kindergarten and trumpet through high school — marching band, jazz ensemble, the whole thing. I work as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the City of Austin, and I spend a significant part of my week as a peer mentor for an autistic young man I met through school — choir, kayaking, cooking, and a Friday rock band.
I also build things in Minecraft at a level that has gotten out of hand. Working Redstone escape rooms, full spaceships with functional engines. It's the same instinct as filmmaking — design a world, make it work, then show someone around it.
